BES Express install tips
After many BES server installs there is always one or 2 things that you miss in the steps, the two I always seem to miss are below which stops the send-as permissions from resetting every hour and allows users to be activated on the BES.
IN windows Server 2003 you must have the support tools installed, You can download the files needed by clicking on the link and saving the files to the same folder HERE , Then run the support.msi file.
dsacls “cn=adminsdholder,cn=system,dc=domainname,dc=com or net or ca ” /G “domainname\BESadmin:CA;Send As”
Setting the Administrator on the information store
On the Exchange server from the System Manager.
Open the exchange system manager and expand First organization and then the Servers folder. Right click on the server and go to properties and in the properties windows click on the security tab. Add the besadmin user then click on the user and scroll all the way down to the bottom and you will find the above entries at the bottom of that window.
Hope this helps.
